About CV Wasl
CV Wasl is a free tool that helps job seekers in the Gulf create professional, ATS-friendly CVs in English, Arabic, French, Chinese and Russian. It is built and maintained by an independent developer, not a corporation. No account is needed, and there is no paywall.
The service is funded voluntarily by user donations. Every feature on this site is free, and the goal is to keep it that way.
Terms of Use
Last updated: 24/09/2026
By using CV Wasl, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. What the service does
CV Wasl helps you build, improve, format, and translate CVs using automated AI processing. You can upload a CV file or enter your details manually.
2. Your content is yours
You own everything you create with CV Wasl. We claim no ownership over your CV or its contents.
3. Be honest
You agree to enter only accurate information that belongs to you, and not to use the service for anything unlawful.
4. No guarantees
CV Wasl is a tool, not a promise. We do not guarantee job interviews, employment, or any specific outcome. AI-generated text may contain errors — always review your CV before sending it to anyone.
5. Availability
The service is provided "as is." We rely on third-party providers (hosting, AI, email) and cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.
6. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CV Wasl is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
7. Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised version.
Privacy Policy
Short version: your CV stays yours. We never sell your data, never show ads, and delete your data when you ask.
What we collect
- The CV content you enter — name, contact details, experience, education, and other details you type or upload, so we can build and format your CV.
- Basic technical data — browser type and a general network identifier, used to prevent abuse and keep the service free and working for everyone.
- The AI's first draft and your edits — we keep the version our AI produced alongside your final CV, so we can see what people correct and make the AI better.
- Jobs you apply for — if you use the job match or cover letter tools, the job title, company and job ad you enter, the match result and the letter.
- How you used the builder — the steps you went through (a random id, not your name), how you arrived (for example from a search engine or a shared link), whether you were on a phone or computer, roughly how long you spent editing, and whether you downloaded or shared your CV. This is linked to your CV record so we can see where the builder needs to improve. If your browser sends "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control", we skip it.
The photo you add to your CV is not stored with the CV data above. The only exception is if you sign in and save a CV to your account: then the photo is kept with that saved CV so you can open it on another device, and it is deleted when you delete the CV.
Why we collect it
Only to provide the service: generating, structuring, translating, formatting, and (when you ask) emailing your CV. By using CV Wasl, you agree to this processing as described in our Terms of Use.
AI processing
Your CV text is processed by third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI) to rewrite, structure, and translate content. These providers process data under their own terms and do not use it to advertise to you.
Improving the service
We may use anonymised copies of CV content — with personal identifiers removed — to improve the quality of our AI features. You can opt out of this by emailing us at any time.
Storage & security
Data is stored on secured third-party infrastructure (Supabase, Vercel) with access restricted to the developer.
Optional accounts
You never need an account. If you choose to sign in (with Google or a one-time email link), we store your email address, your name and profile picture if your sign-in provider shares them, and the CVs and cover letters you save to your account, including up to 15 earlier versions of each. We use this only to show you your saved CVs on any device. Sign-in is handled by Supabase Auth; we never see a Google password. You can delete any saved CV, or your whole account and everything saved in it, from the My CVs page at any time.
Cover letters
When you ask for a cover letter, the job title, company and job ad you enter are sent with your CV to our AI provider to write it, and the letter may be kept with the CV data described above.
If you ask us to contact you
At the end of the builder there is an optional box, "Can we ask how it went?". If you type your email there and press the button, we store that email and any note you add, separately from your CV. We use it only to email you once or twice to ask about your experience with CV Wasl. No newsletters or marketing, never shared or sold. Email us and we will delete it.
Deleting your data
Email us anytime and we will delete your stored CV data. We do not keep data longer than needed to run and improve the service.
What we never do
- We never sell or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers.
- We never send marketing emails — we only email you when you ask us to.
- We never require an account to use the tool. Accounts are optional and only keep your CV history.
