CV summary examples for UAE jobs
Two or three lines at the top of your CV that tell a recruiter what you do, for how long, and what you are good at. Examples for 10 common UAE jobs.
- Two or three lines. No "I", no life story.
- Job title, years of experience, where, and one strength with proof.
- Add a licence or language if the job needs it.
- Write it last and change it for each job ad.
A simple formula
[Job title] with [years] of experience in [setting or country]. [One strength with a number or a detail]. [Licence, language or availability if it matters].
The examples below are fictional. Replace the details with your own, and only keep what is true.

|---|---|
| Hardworking and honest person looking for a good job in a reputed company where I can grow. | Warehouse storekeeper with 4 years of experience in Jebel Ali. Keeps stock records accurate in SAP and runs weekly cycle counts. Available immediately. |
The weak version could be anyone. The strong version tells the recruiter the job, the place, the tools and when you can start.
Mistakes to avoid
- Writing about what you want instead of what you offer.
- Words with no proof, like "dynamic", "passionate" or "result-oriented".
- A different job title from the one in the ad, when yours is close enough to match.
Questions
How long should a CV summary be?
Two or three lines, around 40 to 60 words.
Should I write my CV summary in the first person?
No. Leave out "I" and "my". Start with your job title.
Is a summary the same as an objective?
No. An objective says what you want. A summary says what you offer, which is what recruiters look for.
